What happened to "Products You Just Won't Use"? Locked down, no explanation, no nothin, just gone. What gives. Don't we deserve the courteously of an explanation?

Obviously not!

I read the whole thread and saw nothing offensive, to me at least.

It's possible someone misunderstood what FOMoCo meant. Actually it should have been typed as FoMoCo. For those that don't know that stands for Ford Motor Company. The company use that logo for years.

It was basically a bashing thread, which I'm guessing the mods didn't care for much.

Yes, more than likely what happened. Seems to happen all the time around here and usually started by one of 6 people I can think of. I've been staying out of all that drama, but it's hard!

jcwit -- go to the forum rules, and read #5, and #9 F. we bitogers have to abide by the rules -- it's as simple as that.our opinion of "offensive" means nothing, since we don't make the rules. if some members don't like these rules, then they can go to another board. it is what it is. have a good day.

Well I went and I read. All I know now is it must have been objectionable to someone with the ability to lock it.

Actually I felt some personal attacks were left go by over Christmas. As the mods get to it, there may be some more threads get locked.

That is just the way it is around here. Have you seen the "bad word" censor and all the words it sensors? And if you try avoid it like writing p@@P instead of poop someone will report you and you will get a nasty gram from the owner threatening sending you on "vacation". Very storm trooperish but that is price you pay to be on this board, it is a private board after all so we don't make the rules.

Put yourself in the site owner's shoes. Some of the products being bashed might be potential advertisers.

I would usually tend not to comment, but I was also quite surprised the thread was locked. It was simply a codification of the opinions already expressed here. Pardon me further, I don't even see where in the rules it is wrong to say "X" products sucks, or more precisely, that someone would just not use it.

The opinions expressed there were 100% in-line with the stated mission of the forum, which looses credibility itself in the process of censoring in favour of various retail products.

"Oh, LUCAS is great stuff, I would GLADLY pay double for the magic-mystery ingredients it contains".

See everyone, that's much better.
