I bought an Autolite alternator from Checker Auto several years back and the bearing in it is very tight now and needs replacing. As most of you know, Oreilly Auto bought out CSK. Have any of you had any experience in a situation like this concerning lifetime warranties? Will the lifetime warranty from the CSK sourced alternator transfer to Orielly?

Thanks.

I was told they would honor it, I warrantied some plugs through them (they gave me the wrong part # same plug different heat range,) I showed them my receipt and they were quick and got me a new set of proper plugs.

I'd like to know too. I used the lifetime warranty at least 5 times when they were still Kragen.

I think I finally got a good one as it has lasted 4 years plus. But I think that is because I took a substantial load off if it with a solar panel to keep my Auxiliary batteries from getting too low and overheating the alternator.

They gave me a hard time on a return of a CSK item. I wrote the company and they sent me a gift card to cover the expense. They stood behind it, just took a push.

interesting question. my 96 sunfire has a 10 year old duralast gold lifetime alternator on it that is wonking out. since I have to take the serpentine belt off for a water pump job, I might as well try to collect on a new alternator. but, I live in a different city now and I don't have a receipt. I wonder if autozone will give me a hard time about it.
