Lexus TPMS help

Toyota / Lexus OEM is Pacific (get them from RockAuto instead of Amazon or eBay to avoid fake) and American Tire charged me $20 per tire to swap just the sensor in labor (including programming). They don't mount and balance the tire during the process, just pry enough off to replace the sensors.

I already had Autel's MX sensors so I asked American Tires to install those and then clone the ID over, they work fine on my IS250.

Lexus Dealer
Club Lexus has several postings about this. The dealership Denso tpms may or may not be the same unless you can find the part numbers. It may have changed but I saw postings where a regular shop couldn't program the new Denso sensors. Ymmv.

I bought Denso sensors for the Prius. Made by Pacific. An Autel scan tool was able to program the new sensor IDs in without a problem.

Most tire shops, Costco included will use either a multi-protocol universal sensor from Conti that should mimic the OE sensor - all that is needed is to program the sensor IDs and “unlock” the sensor or they’ll use a programmable sensor and clone the existing sensor IDs.

Costco told me they can't get a sensor for my car but if I bring them in they will install for free.
So that's the plan...

I am about to buy the sensors from Lexus for about $76 each. Do you have another suggestion? Thanks!
Can you check another Costco tire location? It might be that the location you went to is misinformed. I would expect the Lexus (Pacific) sensors to be similar/identical to those used on Toyotas. Doubt that the F-level trim would have unique TPMS sensors.

I believe that all TPMS sensors (other than some new Teslas that use Bluetooth) communicate on either 315 MHz or 433 MHz frequencies. Most aftermarket sensors are capable of being programmed to use either 315/433 MHz.

I have the Autel MaxiTPMS TS508WF handled programmer and use Autel MX sensors which appear to be compatible with your GS 350.

You maybe right, what you are saying make sense. Toyota cannot have that many different sensors...
I will double check. Thanks!

Check the product rebates section here. There’s a notice that at least 1 Toyota dealer has 25% off parts and free shipping

I compared the GS sensors part number from Stevens Creek Lexus to Toyota Avalon for 2013; same Toyota part number.
I think you have to be correct. The Costco tire guy did not find a GS listing; I saw the screen.

I have to believe you are correct. I will double check with Costco. Thank you.
