Lets talk about new vehicles

Gold Pony is a nice guy and not to far from me...I abuse him about " You know what we must do"

I can't stand any reviews where they rev the engine on new cars especially economy cars.
I can’t rev my two cars. My Sienna stops at 1500 and has a screen pop up telling me to stop. My Jeep won’t rev past 2500 or 3000 when in park.

Getting a new car cheap is not always the best investment unless you run it until it dies...

Resale value will be limited in the end unlike a top tier brand like Honda or Toyota...

However I am soured on Honda this minute and Toyota reminds me of the early 80s Honda bunch.

Toyota dealers like to load you up on worthless packages and here are constantly raising the cost of hybrid models weekly...

I really dislike both attitude wise...
Oh well....nothing new under the sun

I'm in the market for a new vehicle. My Civic is fine, just want something with a hatch for hauling stuff. On a lark, while on edmunds.com, I filled out the questionnaire about "how much is your car worth," and it came back with a Carmax offer of $17k. I'm floored by this, and think it may be in error, but going to explore. I paid $22k out the door in 2017 for it. Only 40k miles. The next problem is picking something else. There is nothing that knocks it out of the park for me, and I'm picky. Maybe a BWM X1? My driveway and garage is small, so I can't fit a big vehicle. A new Civic hatch hybrid is the safe play, but it's another Civic, and I already have one. Not sure...
