Lets talk about new vehicles

I had been driving for about 8 hrs and was on I 495 and had miles of construction with 2 lanes only and nothing but concrete barriers and winding unlevel road surfaces and those concrete walls for miles tend to put you in a trance and making you very tired... Speed was 70 mph and now thankfully 55 mph in that zone.

I nodded off and my head went forward and my left hand slipped off the steering wheel and with much luck hit the regeneration paddle which the hybrid has and that lurch woke me up and instantly all the other bells and whistles kicked in including the patented Honda steering wheel shake and I was inches from hitting the barriers and too my left was a loaded car carrier.

Trust me that will wake you up for hours....if you were drunk you'd be sober...

I said the next rest stop im stopping but the sign said 73 miles to the next one... by then you couldn't get me to sleep if you tried.
Just read this....be careful!

Admittedly, in my 20's, I thought nothing of sleeping in the car. Rest areas, and in the city. New York, Boston, didn't matter. Los Angeles (cop saw me and said you people put your hands up).

To lighten the mood, since I was emailing the insurance agent, I asked her what discount would I get if I took a 55+ mature driving class? She said 5%. Now she's looking them up and telling me where I can take it in person and sending me emails (more help than I had wanted, I just want to do it online).

Our new Tahoe has all those gizmos. I was backing up from the church parking lot, and someone walked behind the car. The car abruptly braked. I thought to myself, it was a bit much, the normal sonar and back up cam is going to get me to stop, however, if it saves one life across the country, it's a good feature. If it saves 10 lives, it's a great feature.

My brain had a hard time deciphering this truck conversion.
When you see the video you will understand why. Dodge Ram diesel..

I'm starting to dig the Accord.
Need to take it to the dealer for the infotainment glitchery.... 😁

I did 317 miles mostly highway last week on 5.35 gallons

A major irritation is if one tire gets a tiny pebble in it, rattles appear out of nowhere until it's gets flinged off.

The paint color which I'm neutral about shows no dirt...nice
