Some friends from church went truck shopping yesterday and nearly went into cardiac arrest. Looking for something to pull their 5th wheel RV which they use a lot. Current truck has over 200k on it. Manufacturers definitely crossed the line on trucks and are now paying for it in rotting inventory.

I have 2200 miles on my Mitsubishi Sport and even though it isn't a luxury cruiser I really have fun driving it and in my terrain the CVT is king and the 2L and CVT are so much better than the 2022 setup although Mitsubishi makes no mention of it.

The once agricultural port Injected 2L is smooth as silk and although a gas hog compared to a Maverick gives a respectful 30 mpg combined with no stop start at all. Horsepower is listed the same as 10 years ago but it feels like they found 30 hp somewhere. Plenty of safety features and great seats. Only the light weight doors take getting used too as you have to shut them rather hard.

If you extract oil you can simply reach under the front bumper and spin off the filter without lifting the vehicle and you can buy a great electric extractor for $14...

No DI drama to deal with.

I finally called about my four recalls on the Maverick. No issues with it but Ford is pounding me via mail...

I got lucky and I'm in the shuttle area so no Uber required...

They need to get the parts so I'm waiting on a date.... I just want to be done with it......

Still no appointment with Ford.
They haven't called back yet...

I guess I can’t claim no drama, I had it in once and they left one undone because they said the part was back ordered. I thought they were going to call when it came in but it’s been months so I guess I need to call.

This minor annoyance has been the only issue I have had with the car at all.

I might just blow it off as I have had no issues. I will wait to see if they ever call.

I tend to not rush recalls unless it’s a super important one, and just wait until 2-3 are stacked up and it needs to go in! @Zee09 @KCJeep

You need to call them about the recalls and have them do it immediately. That way you can get a free washer fluid top off.
