Lets talk about new vehicles

I never had one carbed up as it's port injected. Outlander Sport 2L AWD
I meant piston tops.

Since I am no longer power commuting to work morning and evening, I have been matting the GO pedal when it is very foggy out - hoping to steam clean them pistons good and plenty like a Choo-Choo train!

At least in my imagination this is what is happening.

This morning I did a 22.3 mile drive and 17 of that was on the interstate.
2 lights, 4 stop signs and no auto start stop as Mitsubishi doesn't have it. I was shocked as I got a trip average at 34.7 mpg for the trip...

It has 1350 miles on it. It may become a Florida trip cruiser after all.

Seats are good enough for a Florida trip? Us old guys care about seats.

Yes the best...did it before on my 2014s
Speaking of buckets,
My ford dealer tech moved my seat. Took me three weeks of fiddling originally to get it just so. Now I can't seem to get it back to "Ahhh!" What did he do?! All I have is a height jacker lever and the backrest angle.

It feels low in the back. like I am acutely jackknifed. I tend to keep the seat back near vertical so I can "get up on the wheel" like Rickey Rudd. Help. Wimper.

I wish these positions had reference numbers!

This by far had the worst seats...2016 C-Max.....I made big $$$ during covid selling it to Carvana.. I drove this 16 hours straight and got out and couldn't move...total body lockup...

I just got a letter that they have a fix now for the backup camera in the Maverick. They say it takes half a day to do...I haven't had any issues with any of the 3 recalls and I guess
I'll have to take it in .
My Maverick without trying gets 2x better mpgs than my Mitsubishi Sport...really...

I got a letter again just now.
4th recall about a seat belt....
Geez Ford but I have had zero issues on anything
I guess I'll have to drop it off and get a Uber home as it make take 29 years...

Arteon on rural hilly Pennsylvania back roads. My speeds are 40 to 55 mph
and I started using the sport mode and surprisingly my mpgs are up.

Rolling hills on the whole trip and holding higher rpms allow me to get up the numerous mini hills with ease. In my other vehicles the sport mode is too raucous.

I'm running Sunoco 94 and since VWs are known to carb up easily I wonder if sport mode in this type of travel is more beneficial. @KCJeep

I finally called about my four recalls on the Maverick. No issues with it but Ford is pounding me via mail...

I got lucky and I'm in the shuttle area so no Uber required...

They need to get the parts so I'm waiting on a date.... I just want to be done with it......

I think so, VWs seem to thrive under spirited driving and correct maintenance.

I doubt you will have it long enough to hit those kind of issues, but it’s fun anyway.

My Ford dealership didn't hear about the seat belt issue yet. I got the letter Tuesday but I'll tell you I'm bringing the letter as I'm not doing this twice.

Similar driving .

I'm afraid they'll screw my ride up

Don't blame you . Could write a horror novel on past experiences . One incident at a FORD dealership was a car that fell off the jack and put a huge dent in passenger side rear corner panel . Wasn't told until I called to see how the fix was going . The person said ' Oh by the way the car was damaged " . They should of called first to alert us . Got there and could see that they removed the inside panel and tried to push out the dent . Had the car repaired and the body shop messed up the clear coat . Traded it in not long after . This was back in '91 .
