Lets talk about new vehicles

I just got my groceries delivered from Walmart...
Young gal brought them to my door... I walked out with her to get my case of water.
She had a brand new Infiniti QX 80 with temp tags....

I complimented her on it and she said it was her dad's and until she can afford her own car she can use his ..wow 😮😮😳😳😳

@KCJeep
I assume you got 3 yr maintenance on the Jetta?
Did they rotate tires?
No big deal but wondering if it's just oil.

Sorry I was off getting into mischief.

I got a three oil change deal thrown in on the Jetta. Nothing else, rotations etc.

Depends on what promos VW is running at the time I believe. You can also usually work the dealership for something too.

I got one left but may blow it off as it's a 60 mile round trip.
I got a bunch of Red Line to try and not my favorite company but a Baldwin filter but it's Taiwan made and looks great.

This car is at least 10k less than an Arteon. I can’t afford to roll big pimpin’ like Jimmy. 🤣
If you buy that stang our friendship is over. I can't respect a man that doesn't own a VW...

You go back and drive the same one again?

No, the first one was was a Premium with a bunch of options packages one of which included 20” wheels. I thought the ride was too choppy for a 59 year olds full time daily driver. I would not have cared at 23….and I thought the price was way too high for an EcoBoost.

This one is on 18s and doesn’t have the frivolous add ons. All Mustangs are nicely optioned IMO they don’t make a stripper. It drove much better for commuting and honestly I just clicked with this simpler one.

I’ve never had a car like this and this morning I’m wondering what it would be like to live with full time. Anyone?

Agreed 20s are a big irritation
Sounds like the new one is great. I don't like too many frills

@KCJeep
My criteria is serviceability and wind and road noise. Great seats a must. Don't be afraid to shop long distance if you get a deal...more on that later

That explains the Arteon…👍

I’ve traditionally been right there with you.

Yeah I’m wondering about living with it full time. Think I’ll start a thread to draw in some Mustang guys.

I got the Mitsubishi in Green bay WI and it was just over 1000 miles away. It was a sport awd. LE new for $19k... I still can't believe it.
In the height of freight issues it cost me $800 all inclusive to ship via a enclosed trailer... enclosed is the important thing.

I learned to do an extended test drive. If I was a interstate driver , I would take it there and see how I like it. You know this but don't be afraid to take it for a long spin
