Lets talk about new vehicles

This morning I saw a new Range Rover with temp tags pull into the grocery store lot right next to the cart return cage.....

Over a $100K. vehicle and you park there? I wouldn't park a 10 year old Corolla there...nuts.

There is a major chance it's leased.

The Jetta SE has about the same exact interior bits as the Arteon..
Geez...I like the price of the S better though as that is about the cost of a full thank of gas these days.😂

@OVERKILL seems to think I would look dead sexy in a BMW...but I think when he and I go cruise chicks (nobody I ever knew who said chicks ever had a date..lol)

We would both look good with our shirts off and scars from throat to our arses...lol
Going to purposely not try to envision either of you shirtless.

Just read a complaint on VW Vortex Arteon forum about a 22 Jetta having much the same interior. A loaded Jetta would be come too close to an A3, but the Arteon raids Audi sales as well despite VAGs attempts to prevent it.

Drove some Audis before I bought my Passat, wonderful cars definitely quieter than VWs but the Passat was too much value to pass.

I original went for a Passat R Line
But it sold....

Now to save you from looking at the link... Overkill at the top and me next 😂😂😂

Yeah the 22 Jetta is intriguing
What is the resale value of a Jetta anyway...good or bad???
Your mpg is insane and even my Arteon in mixed driving with no interstate has given 41 mpg

Being new to VW I drive conservative but unlike all other cars I have owned the VW wants you to wind it out to get maximum mpg's...Weird but exciting

You have an evil streak, but you're right I should have known better.

Typically resale of VWs has not been stellar, but the market lately has thrown that out the window. Most European makes suffer the same fate, especially the luxury ones but again lately throw that out the window it's a mad mad world.

Not a fan of the digital dash on the 22s, my 57 year old eyes love the white on black analogs. But I've not seen one in person but I can't imagine it being as crisp.

VW puts a nice digital dash in some of their Audi products. The basic ones that go in Jetta and other models just look cheap to me. Analog all the way!

This year I plan a Florida trip
and I will see the Arteons numbers.
Of course I have to run premium and KC does so in the Jetta but not required.

It seemed to me the Jetta had the Passat seats and the Arteons were
slightly wider because I drove a Passat and jumped into the Arteon next.
I will get arguments but I do have a bunch of hybrid experience and in the interstate they don't do so well when you are at 80mph because that is barely the flow of traffic here.
In my experience the Jetta numbers are better and the hybrid is best for the city and rural rolling hills were I can get into the 70 mpg range and up.
My last Florida run netted me only 38 mpg until I got off the interstate..

I really like mine
You find something new on the dash everyday... But the hvac controls not so much. I prefer knobs...
Forces you to take your eyes off the road.

Sadly I've not even sat in an Arteon but have been in or owned a bunch of other VeeDubs and seats seem similar (very good).

Hybrids do best in city an efficient gasser will beat it on the highway. Since 90% of my driving is highway commute my average is very high. If I were a downtown Uber driver a hybrid would do great.

I wonder if you have the Audi version in the Arteon? Wouldn't surprise me.
You would know better than me but it is bright and clear and extremely informative...you keep finding new stuff every day
