Lets talk about new vehicles

I'm losing track, did you get another one to flip or is that the one you already flipped?
This is the second one from the same dealer. However that party seems to be over....no inventory and prices are up.
Coming Tuesday...Vroom..
I really like it but the price is right..and I have the VW and another beater.

Don't need a prestige brand- been there before,, I have never seen how a brand begets prestige.

Corolla vs Corolla Hybrid 2022 models

Is there any advantage with the hybrid for an interstate cruiser...
Figure that would be 80%+ of the cars use.

I would say no in this case the cheaper base car would be better.
Interstate use at 70-80 mph does not allow a hybrid to shine....
What say you?

I always relaxed in traffic slow ups or jams with a hybrid on the interstate. Watch the mpg go up, not down. Even at steady cruising I found a hybrid still to outshine a non hybrid, not nearly as much as in traffic though.
There are some that can achieve 60 mpg, like the Newer Prius, or even more. Maybe not at 80. At 80 it is a choice to pay more for gas.

Ford F350 diesels are bringing $15 to $20k over MSRP by unscrupulous
dealers. 😥

I've been lusting for and reading about one of these for over a year. I think it's a hobby the wife thinks I'm obsessed. My heart tells me yes, my head tells me no. No immediate concern I like the Jetta way more than I thought I would and am getting a real kick out of tooling around in it. MY 2024 maybe? :D

It's sad , that car wouldn't last 1 mile on a Michigan road .

That right there is a beautiful car and very quick. Even for an Alfa thought they seem to have a lot of problems.

I have prostituted myself to the lowest bidder and did unspeakable things to obtain the ultimate
long range road cruiser. Obviously I have failed and need your help.

What I require............

* Great seats for a bad back and I do not like tiny bottoms in my rides but- never mind... ; )
* Roomy- I hate when they put you in a cubicle like a Ford Taurus
* No Fords- I hate their seats
* No pickups- AWD or FWD fine- CVT is okay
* Very quiet with minimal road noise
* If hwy mpg is below 25 mpg- no thanks- The more the better- MORE!
* Hybrid ok
* Don't need a prestige brand- been there before
* Reliable- Sometimes I will put 3-4K miles on in one week
* Car-SUV-CUV okay
* Budget.. $25K-$55K NEW!

Thanks!
Since I got rid of trucks and my Chevelles, I have only been in Honda Accords. The driver's seats not great and the passenger seats are killers to my back. The best thing I have ridden in for comfort is one my son's Honda Pilots. I drove one I rented also, a 2021 model and it was sweet. They are making them very big and roomy these days.

As a youngster I was a Alfa lover...
My VW dealer was the Alfa dealer too...

I drove a new Pilot and Passport
The Pilot got far better mpg than the Passport and the Pilot was as you say.

I was in Michigan back in 1994 and was in a nice area and I was confused by the gravel roads in the best neighborhoods..
Back then I had a 93.5 Nissan hard body with big mud tires and nearly got stuck..lol

In MD. Here we have great roads and great winter service.

A MB dealer had that exact color of AR on his lot used. Was there a long time, not a bad price, something like 10k miles on it. I was seeing if they had any hoopdies for sale. They get them in, nice ones, but because they are old or whatever they wholesale them out. But they will sell if you are there at the right time. So why would someone trade in the almost new AR for? Maybe they are just too rich to care?
