Lets talk about new vehicles

They were such a good deal back in 2019 that i am
surprised you didnt buy one or seven. Like 30% off good.
I get the GM discount but left GM rides years ago. I never knew they even existed.

I have had only one turbo car in many decades but several turbo trucks.

I don't even notice that the Arteon has one. Also the engine is silky smooth at idle and on the road.

Is the Jetta the same in this regard
@KCJeep

Yes IMO. I detect no lag at all, only thing that betrays the turbo is how well it pulls at low rpm with light throttle. The Jetta is all about saving fuel. While it's a peppy car the main difference between half throttle and mashed to the floor is engine noise. My Passat you had to hang on for dear life if you floored it.

I have been thoroughly enjoying my 2021 Nissan Altima. The gravity seats...whoa, super comfortable on my sciatic nerve. Car is great. Funny story. We bought one for my wife to replace her 2017 Hyundai IONIQ. I had recently purchased a 2021 Honda Civic back in May. After a few days with the Altima, I loved it so much over the Civic, I went and traded for one myself. Great cars.

I was once in a small convenience store and a young attractive lady walks in and you could tell the clerk was sweet on her.

He calls out to her that he hasn't seen her lately. She says that ever since she got her new Altima she doesn't need gas very often...

It was a commercial right before my eyes...

I have been inspired.

Check out my ride. Whoa! Nellie! 400 hp and a six-speed in such a wittle car !

NO! My car is that gray ecosport behined that pesky BMW with 400 hp and a six speed.
BMW Guy wasn't even getting curbside pickup
I guess you can park anywhere you wish if you are a snotty BMW driver.

Around here most bimmer pilots are teens slouching in well-used 3 series with tint and a drop.
Gangsta wannabe krackers.

I would bet the guy in the blue car above got the car for its stunning performance, rather than some gucci cache'

Kia called me right after i had purchased my 05 Escalade so i figured i could stop by on the way and check out the 2022 Stinger.

Stinger GT Line 2.5 300 HP 311 TQ and 3800lbs or 12.66 lbs per HP

Escalade 345 HP 380 TQ 6.0 V8. 5600lb or 16.2 lbs per horsepower

Dimensionally they are close, Escalade 9 inches longer, 5 inches wider, 1.6" longer wheelbase.

Odd comparison photo, 2022 Stinger Vs 05 Escalade:

The Stinger is very nice and packs a punch even in the 2.5 4 cylinder. It is turbo power so even though its faster than the escalade the 6.0 V8 is oddly more satisfying in its immediacy. Kia has a 10 year 100k warranty, the Escalade is covered by my own two hands and my Capital One card.

Kia was ready to let me have the Stinger effectively at MSRP but i'm gonna drive this caddy till they put the big discounts on them again. I wanna be like Doug Demuro getting a big percentage off a stinger.

Heh, my MK7 GTI was like that. 0-jail was real quick. Thing was a hoot to drive.

But now I have Toyota's that take forever to get revved up

Picked up another Orange LE Sport today from the same dealer and at the same price 2021
Flip only..problem like last time is getting a quick ship. Last one took 4 weeks to book.
Got feelers out all over. Pictures when it gets here.

I wonder how many brand new purchases recently have been for flip purposes. Once the supply side returns the flippers will stop buying, or they will get stuck with a car, and the market could turn fast.

OR we keep having supply troubles and you can keep selling Mitsus for some extra tendies!

Yep just like the stock market.

I guess you could liken new car flips to longer term options contracts with the time decay factor eating into the value. Regular shares won't go down just because they got older, more likely to go up.

I guess you could hang onto a brand new mitsubishi for like 30 years and it will start going back up!

Risky..but I am getting a great deal but never ask why. Because I am afraid they will wise up.

At least with stocks you don't have to pay sales tax. Makes it harder to flip a new car right?
