Lets talk about new vehicles

Just saw this model at the Grocery Store 1/2 hour ago, after getting my bicuspid drilled at the dentist,
What a way to start a Monday morning!

I didnt even know these existed I guess they go for low 30's.:

BTW, good thing your Mercedes buddy didn't do you all in; 3 in a car is always a bad recipe.

My wife is going to get a new car next month, She is approaching 90Kmi on the Subaru Crosstrek and wants to trade it while its still worth 12K. I think she owes about 6k. Trying to talk her in to a base Forester, but she said she cant get the kayak up on the roof of that. So likely looking at another Crosstrek. May have her check out a Outlander Sport too if they can be had for under 22K out the door. She has NO interest in Bronco sports or Equinox or Rav 4 or Ford Escape or Honda CRV or HRV.
I dont even know if she knows about Steltos - but if it isn't 2-3 g's below a comparable Subaru its a no go.
KIA are getting cocky in there teenage years with their CUV pricing.
The crosstrek has great resale value. The 2 liter engine has been trouble free.

Just a hint, the 2011 Outback Premium I briefly owned was a great car with a stick except for the grenade of an engine.
Comfortable, roomy quiet, composed - very grown up. I hope they didnt wreck it with the new platform.
The Impreza I've driven have all had horrendous steering feel.
Subaru WAS one of the FEW cars that can do cheap Mac strut steering well.
Suzuki was another.
For those who care about the IMPORTANT things a car should do.

Ok Blake I'm at your age here. I just turned 19 ( 4/15 vs your 4/23)
My dad left me a Bosh jackhammer that day to take out the rear patio- I was one break. Hence concrete dust.
Wonder how fresh that Milk would be now?
Anyway I just got me a new AMC Eagle SX4 then. No jimmy bought it not pop....lol
I had three junkers before it- the first was a 67 GTO Convertible.

@ARCOgraphite

I just saw some ES Sports just now at $22k exactly with options. These were FWD but that was MSRP and there is good money off them.
The new ones are far better than the 14's I had as far as interior quality and sound isolation but they were easy to drive and get around with.

Lets not go there....😜😜😜😜😀

The Hyundai Santa Cruz videos are out. I like it as a sport utility not a pick up of course. Pretty neat ride.
Multi faceted for homeowner use.
Looks like the pricing will blow Honda out of the water.

A revitalised and now mid-sized Subaru Brat. IDK. Looks like a body shop custom nightmare; Something you do with a totaled SUV in your spare time to make a funky shop truck.
I see those Honda trucks on the road, they are pretty godawefully styled with the new gen - Like a chopped unit body CUV.
