Am I the only one or is it the infusion of 0w30 Amsoil Euro???

The Fram is a 7317 OG Ultra...

Interesting as I don't remember a manual using this spec. The manual of course says to use the OEM oil filters but if not pick one that has a burst spec of at least 256 psi.....wow that's specific and Rock Auto lists specs like this sometimes...

Those are some stout looking filters. I wonder what the efficiency is.

Not surprised at the burst pressure given the crazy power of that beast.

The Duratec makes good noises, but wonder if it is coming thru the stereo. I like Sport Mode once in awhile. Nothing like fake shifts and fake v-8 Coyote sounds to liven up your day. Better than what's on the radio these days

I never use sport modes.
maybe I should see if the noise changes???

Efficiency has become somewhat meaningless. What good is a highly efficient filter if it has other issues like we are seeing all over the place these days...all of those happy numbers are now meaningless like my last K&N cut job and the rest of the junk on the market today...

Fram TG is still 99% at 20, Worst Brands has not gotten around to breaking those yet, although the paint on all Fram’s now sucks. I know you are a closet FramBoy anyway. Buying all those other filters is just a well executed diversion.

PG made synthetics are at least 99% at 25 depending on who you want to argue with about it. . Gorgeous paint jobs too.

Yeah a PG at even 35 microns is better than the crap we are seeing. The last TG I featured here used crumbled in my hands. I wrote them off.
