Lets talk about new vehicles

To recall or not is the question 🤔
Truck has never been back to the dealer (Maverick)
Runs great...no issues
I'm not pumped up to get the recalls done right now....what say ye????View attachment 263903
I’ve got two outstanding as well, like you no issues and I am not real motivated. They keep pestering me about it though so I will eventually give in.

I can only imagine what they could screw up...

I finally figured out the Mitsubishi mirror folding...if you use the door button to open the door you are okay. If you lock it on the outside handle it folds. Duh but I wasn't thinking about it. So lock the door from the inside to close the door without the side mirrors moving or the keyfob. If you hit the outside handle lock it folds...got it...

Got 29.4 mpg combined this AM.
And 32.2 mpg later over mixed 18 miles.. Not a Maverick but not too bad...

In the low 600 miles and they say 1000 miles break in and I believe it as you can feel it at times being stiff...

@KCJeep it is becoming a at speed cruiser with the reworked cvt and I truly believe the 2L got an infusion of a few ponies as it's more eager than ever....

The seats make me like it more than I should.... yeah I know....but....

We are getting old. Seats are more important.

I still can’t envision a CVT that’s a good highway cruiser but I believe you. Good on them.

You are putting some miles on. 👀

I drive all three daily...very interesting. The VW got Liberty Premium gas...first ever because it is picky. Seemed well juiced 93 octane @ $3.49

Ran very well hmmm

The Mustang has had almost nothing but Amoco Ultimate 93. A tank of a supposedly top teir competitors ethanol free 91 produced a random stumble at idle.

My VWs only got premium as well, Casey’s ethanol free caused a few issues also but I should have expected it, Casey’s gas is notoriously bad.

Around here the best available seems to be Amoco Ultimate and Shell Nitro plus. Unfortunately few Shell stations and the two closest are downright spooky.

Unfortunately not everyone is rolling in the dough like you......
Of course I assume gas is cheaper there. My local ExxonMobil pumps gold 93 at $4.39 a gallon...

Of course I am jealous of your wealth 😒

YT channel car reviews...
Things that bother me specifically.

Full throttle accelerator pedal smashes on a CVT for 0 to 60 runs...You get far better results not doing that..You can tip in at half throttle and get out of the hole quicker.

One guy I like and many others do the exhaust clip as they put it. Rev the engine at idle to hear the exhaust on a new car with a 4 cylinder engine etc. It's tortue like running your finger nail over a chalk board..

It is cheaper, I’ve been paying about $3.49 or less on average for Amoco Ultimate 93 the last year or so. That and saving money on EcoGard filters has been my secret to amassing great wealth.

Oops I just let the cat out of the bag! 😳

Wow that's great... not much more than regular here. I have a bunch of s241s but I'm using KN 1002 which I really like for the Maverick. The 1010s me no like.. I just picked up the long oem Mitsubishi filters at a cheaper price than the on sale PGs. Nice filter.....

Wow you found a deal on the Mitsu filters then. (y) You have a nose for deals.

The 1010s you didn't cut need to go on eBay. Disappointing for sure.

They are going back to K&N
I am sending them the cut one too...
Getting money back on 3.
I don't return things but these aren't even going on OPE

Thinking they do that for the "Likes" from the less cultured.

My Hybrid likes a 3/4 second long push to the floor. Surprises a lot of vehicles.

In the KC area I have had good luck with Phillips 66 93 octane E10 in the motorcycle. BP here is sketchy. The one Shell nearby is only 91 octane for the premium and a pain on the in and out.

We do have a Phillips handy, and I usually fill the wife's Edge there as it is on the way home from church. This is definitely Phillips country, I had their gas card for many years just for convenience. They rudely cancelled me for not using the card enough and didn't bother to tell me.

Sent my son on the road with the card a couple of years ago to help with his gas, and they started having problems finding Phillips on the way to Kentucky. I'd not thought of that before sending him.

I always buy TT here...on 87 I don't see a price difference. My Liberty purchase was a first but the VW ran like a Rocket....that's one vehicle you can't scam with low octane gas.

It goes into limp mode....
But that Liberty was the real deal....
For the 87 octane vehicles Exxon gives a deal only on 87 and it runs great...

My Dad has a 17 Tiguan and he didn't know he was supposed to be using premium. He thought something was wrong with it, especially starting from a stop. Once we got that sorted all good.

Yeah that ain't good..

Corvette???

I was going to buy one in 2024
I actually found a few dealers in Florida of all places not marking them up. Around MD and DE the dealers were ripping people off with horrendous markups...

The reason I didn't buy one was we had much hail last year in my area and I have many garages filled with equipment but no spaces for a car.
I can leave my other cars outside but a Corvette, no.....even the possibly of theft or vandalism.

I decided to wait until I quit my business. Sometimes you just have to wait... But it's on my list.

Anybody else thinking of buying one?
