Lets talk about new vehicles

Just noticed the mpg picture. At 50+ mpg, I could get used to the tag real real quick!

But not a crooked steering wheel, lol.
I got 45.8 for a 23 mile run this morning with a drive thru run and a remote start and idle and full tilt defrost and heat because of the snow. I am making no attempt to get it either. It blows away my old CMax...
Heated seats are the secret and I didn't get the lux package as I picked this off the lot. So no Heated seats in the Maverick . Heated seats get you great mpg and using the HVAC on a Cmax killed the mpg to a great extent.
Plus my travels are rolling hills and less than 5% town or city.
I accelerate briskly up the hills and coast a bit down but usually around 55 mph.
And I just hit 400 miles today.
No broken in.

I found it is Pennsylvania and called up and did the deal over the phone. No nonsense at all.
Straight deal. Drama free.
I grabbed the phone and got an Uber through the app and did the about 60 mile drive and that's all it took.
Truck had 20 miles on it.
I drove it home and got 52.7 mpg .
The trip home was all back roads with traffic as it was 5 pm...

MSRP and no drama
That was last Friday...

They don't offer Alto blue anymore. I think it was a $495 extra. The only bad thing is it looks black if not in the direct sun. Always Black.

Every new vehicle I buy I run the VIN for recalls...none
The young lady internet manager handed me a paper that said it had no recalls and I told her I already checked.
She said that was smart🤓

My friend in TN got a first year model and just had the airbags done. That dealership sent him pictures of the progress daily.

I ordered a Lariat the same time as his and it mysteriously disappeared.....yeah right. I never followed up and that is why I won't buy locally. Not worth the time or effort.

This question came up yesterday about the battery in the Maverick. We aren't talking EV pricing. It's got a great warranty and it's priced right...

The average cost for a Ford Maverick Hybrid High Voltage Battery Replacement is between $2,196 and $2,263. Labor costs are estimated between $255 and $322 while parts are typically priced around $1,941. This range does not include taxes and fees, and does not factor in your unique location.
