Lets talk about new vehicles

I have prostituted myself to the lowest bidder and did unspeakable things to obtain the ultimate
long range road cruiser. Obviously I have failed and need your help.

What I require............

* Great seats for a bad back and I do not like tiny bottoms in my rides but- never mind... ; )
* Roomy- I hate when they put you in a cubicle like a Ford Taurus
* No Fords- I hate their seats
* No pickups- AWD or FWD fine- CVT is okay
* Very quiet with minimal road noise
* If hwy mpg is below 25 mpg- no thanks- The more the better- MORE!
* Hybrid ok
* Don't need a prestige brand- been there before
* Reliable- Sometimes I will put 3-4K miles on in one week
* Car-SUV-CUV okay
* Budget.. $25K-$55K NEW!

Thanks!
lol, CX5 signature or GTR gets my vote. My criteria was literally identical to yours, except performance/driving dynamics factored more maybe, and space a bit less. I wanted something V6 Camaro/WRX type performance similar at a minimum, along with my 25+ mpg overall.

Beautiful
I was going to be abused by mentioning it but I heard great things about the CX30- but it was a bit too tight and smaller than the Subie
So I went and looked at some videos last night on the CX5- I looked at these when they first came out but Mazda was not coming off one dime.
But this will be my next stop- the CX9 looks dorky to me- but I always liked the CX5. Is the oil filter easy to get at-thanks

I don't know, I just let the dealer get at it. I've been very pleased. 62K miles and my average overall is 27.0mpg. Performance is great for a 4 cylinder SUV. Quicker on the freeway than a 2015 Camaro RS, at least, lol! Very engaging for an SUV. I sat in a CX30. Too small. CX5 is a happy medium. The AWD system is phenomenal in the ice and snow, and it's just really not a vehicle with any downsides so long as it meets your criteria. Mazda has figured out turbo/DI longevity as well as has an amazing automatic. Near zero turbo lag, as well. Just can't say anything bad about it other than the folding mirrors, the motors can get draggy in those. Disable them if you like and pretend it's not a feature.

The HUD with NAV thrown up there for you as well as cooled seats are game changers.

We think alike- you may need to see a doctor for that 🤦‍♂️🤩

That is a nice looking rig. This is kind of a cool thread and I'm pleasantly surprised at the like minds here that are wanting a little more compact with good power and mpg.

The pentastar also has a nice oil filter location but not a huge fan of the system.

Just buy a Subaru Crosstrek. One and done!! And a very reliable CVT to boot!! ;)
Ollie where did you source your CVT info above at.
The Subie is still in the running
My local dealer claims they usually DO NOT have that much wind noise- we shall see

My friend's GF has a loaded out Crosstrek. The sound system is good, otherwise a total "meh".
