But unfortunately, not for their main markets; the US and Europe...primarily the US, and more of a business case than the ability to design and produce. IIRC the need for airbags was the final nail in the classic Def's coffin, add to that LR, cost wise, just couldn't make sufficient margin on something as basic as the Jimmy, etc. I would have preferred to have seen the new Defender be more of what the Wrangler line is now, but I am not sure the economics are there. That said, having done LR's off road school the new Defender, it and heck the entire line are very capable.
