Kohler and Wix alternative- WL10068

I am looking for alternative filters for the Kohler 52 050 02--S for a marine generator, and the only one I have found is the Wix WL10068 , which seems to be the basic Wix filter. I would prefer a Wix XP, M1, or other high end filter that has better micron rating- the Wix appears to be 99% at 40 micron. Any suggestions ?

Kohler sells three different sizes of oil filters:
(1) Small 2.25" (28-050-01-S)
(2) Medium 2.75" (12-050-01-S)
(3) Large 3.5" (52-050-02-S). The only difference between these three oil filters is the length, and thus the filtering capability. The smaller filters are made for applications where there is not adequate clearance for the larger filters

Turns out the part number in the Kohler service manual was formatted a bit weird - once I started searching on Kohler part 52-050-02-S (instead of 52 050 02-S as in the manual) then all sorts of alternatives popped up, including the Wix 51348 and the Mobil 1 M1-102a. It turns out I have plenty of the M1-102a so I will probably use that filter.
