Wix 57002

Am looking for a filter for my wife's '16 Mazda CX-5, and see a lot of references to Wix being a good match for the engine.

I found this on Amazon, but it doesn't look like the Wixs that I see in O'Reilly's, and is a bit more expensive. It does not appear to be the synthetic Wix XP line.

Is this a standard Wix, or something different?

Details show made in China? I didn't know WIX did that (Mexico yes, China though???)

I missed that. Guess I'll keep looking. No China for me, if I can help it.

Fram Ultra is a better oil filter for that engine, and most engines. Filters better than a Wix, longer lasting, holds more dirt, wire backed synthetic media, silicon ADBV.

OEM is my first choice then a Fram Ultra
