Titanium seems to be growing in popularity in SN oil add packs. Looks like Conoco-Phillips is hanging their hat on it with their GT-1 oils. I saw a VOA on one of the GT-1's and it did look nice "on paper." Have yet to see any used oil analysis though. O'Reilly AP is selling it for $4.29/qt which is only xx cents or so above the cost of most of the big name conventional oils, so GT-1 Syn-Blend looks like a value.

I'm thinking about switching the Ford Escape to it. The little 3 mile or so run with no oil in the crankcase back at the end of October probably at the minimum caused some micro scoring/abrasion in places and based on Kendall's cool video on their site as to how the liquid titanium works, it looks like it would be ideal for the Escape's engine after the dry run. Of course, the Motorcraft 5W20 syn-blend it has had all its life and which we still run in it is a close sibling to any Kendall 5W20 syn-blend so it seems like a natural upgrade route.

Yeah, if it was more readily available I would stock up on it. A little difficult to locate here since Pep Boys stopped carrying it. On the bright side Firestone Auto uses it for their oil changes. Just have to catch their sales.

Kendall is kinda like RC Cola. Pretty good stuff, kinda hard to find and it isn't any cheaper than the big brand stuff.

That's a great deal. What source?

Local farm store, shoppers supply. Needless to say I'm stocking up! Thats everyday price too. Make you wonder how much chain stores are making per quart.

You guys are killing me. The syn-blend for that price, that is awesome. Maybe I need to use Kendall's find-a-retailer thing (if they have one) on their website and see if any independents around where I live have that price. Rural King used to be cheap but they have creeped their prices up to be about same as most other sources.

I'm guessing that Ford Motorcraft oil is too...
