So in my 2009 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor with over 200,000 miles, how far would you run this oil? I always do 10,000 mile oil changes, but not sure if this oil will make it.

Why change oil? I like ConocoPhillips as a company.

I'm using M1 0w20 AFE now. I've thought about running PU also with the savings on shell gas. Just kinda like the Kendall.

Thanks

Under warranty, I'm doing 6750 mile oci's on the 0w-20 GT-1. Haven't done an oil analysis but from those posted it looks like the oi performs well. Will get 1 after warranty expires to extend intervals.

Likely is fine for 10k miles. I dont know but Id go with the PU and take the gas savings at the same time..likely be cheaper using PU and you wont have to worry that it might not do 10k miles...

From the few UOA's I have seen GT-1 should handle a 10K OCI with little fuss depending on driving conditions. The only way you will know for sure is the UOA route.

I'd say go for it. I'm using Kendall's syn-blend GT-1 in my F-150 right now. I like the fact that Kendall is made by ConocoPhilips too, since they also make Motorcraft's oil. Has anyone done a comparison of Motorcraft and Kendall oils on here?

I shot an e-mail to a local Kendall distributor here in the Atlanta area yesterday (Saturday). Surprisingly I got a response back this morning from someone at the distributor. I had asked if they sell to anyone and he said they do and will send me a price list Monday morning. I asked specifically about the Kendall Full Syn in 5w30. I'll let you know if the prices are worth the effort. I did find on Amazon that I could get the full syn delivered to my house for approx. $5.05/qt if buying at least three cases. But as I mentioned in another thread, that's no better than I can get a 5 qt jug at Wally World.

I personally think if I decided to run a full syn, it would be Kendall. I've been impressed with Motorcraft SB, and I believe all CP products are like Sopus products, high quality and reasonably priced.

Check the VOA section and you might see the difference in additive packs. I know that Kendall has titanium based additives, but it seems Motorcraft doesn't unless the formula was changed recently.

I would consider that a minor difference because UOAs of both oils are excellent.

Thanks.

Just an update for those interested: I spoke with a local Kendall distributor and he will sell me a case of Kendall Full Synthetic 5W30 for $44.38/case of twelve. With tax that's $3.96 per quart. I'm grabbing a couple of cases tomorrow to give it a try. I've never tried it before so I'm looking forward to using it.

Disturbers are the way to go IMO if you have one in your area or on your way to or from work.

We have a local one that has PU on special this month for 4.75 a quart. Normally I buy PYB from them for less than 3.00 a quart this beats most sales and specials from auto parts chains and blows normal everyday prices out of the water.
