I need something smaller than my .40 Glock 22, but with more power than my Kel-Tec .32.

I am looking at the Kahr PM 40 for an early x-mas gift.

I know these guns had some problems when they first came out, but I have not heard of any problems lately. Has anyone else?

What appeals to me about the Kahr PM40 is that it's the smallest .40 made, even slimmer than the baby Glock.

Any reason I shouldn't get the gun?

I have a K-9 (early one) and a MK-9 Elite. I like both guns very much. There have been several reports of problems with the plastic framed guns though and I don't think that I would own one.

Any reason for the .40? I would think a 9mm would be plenty for a gun like this, plus pick up the extra round and lighter recoil.

I don't want to add yet another caliber to the ammo I keep on hand. I have also seen plenty of GSWs and it always seems, without going into detail about the choice of what type of round is used, that the .40 does more damage than a 9mm.

I just got a call from the dealer and he is now back pedaling. It seems that the price he quoted me for the PM 40 was actually for the CW 40, which is Kahr's new gun. I hear it has a lot of problems and not a gun I want to go with
