once deposited a USED jug at the back of the store, at the outside collection area. Waited for staff to unlock it, then just shoved the jug through the generous gap. When I drove away, there were 4-5 associates seated at a picnic table near the tire center drive in lanes. Sure they took care of it all after I left. It didn't belong inside for resale. At least I thought it didn't. hmm. : l
“USED” is so 1990s! “Pre-Owned” is the correct term to use nowadays. 
Mobil 2!I don't know, there's a few people here that would probably buy it, I remember reading someone using slightly used oil in their vehicles claiming it was wasting money throwing away good oil.

Well at least it says USED on it.
I have put quarts in my cart then noticed they had been opened, as I saw the cap ring was separated.
Now, with 5q jugs, I unscrew the cap to insure the foil is there. I did that with the last jug of Valvoline EP I purchased at Sam Walton's Mart
On ST or Castrol GTX Magnatec quarts, I try to unscrew the cap to make sure the ring isnt separated.
It's not the end of the world. I imagine a scenario where someone brought the oil in for recycling, but there was no recycling center at that facility. Maybe this was not the store the oil was purchased at. So maybe they left it to avoid questions when exiting. I am Surprised they made it IN with the jug without being corralled to the Returns line.

That happened to my teacher once. He bought some oil at Walmart but it wasn’t labeled used. Got it to the shop and began to pour it in and it was pitch black. Didn’t have a a foil seal on it either. Then he realized. He ended up just tossing it though because he didn’t want to sound like a crazy person at the return desk haha.
You unscrew the cap and break the seal to see if there's a foil seal? Valvoline 5 qt jugs have a clear cap so you can see if the foil seal is intact or not.
