I just put in Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 in my 2001 Chevy Blazer with the 4.3 Vortec. 113K original miles when I put in ESP 0w30 in yesterday. I know, a little overkill for an old sbc vortec. But why not use this oil, it’s the best out there from what I’ve read on this forum, and it’s only $27 at my Walmart.
I’ve been running regular API oils for a while. The only euro oil I’ve used was Mobil 1 0w40 for a couple OCI’s, about 2 years ago.
I just have some questions about the information in the safety data sheet of ESP 0w30. It looks very different from most regular oils that we find off the shelf at Walmart. I even saw ESP 0w20 listing kerosene in its safety data sheet.
What do these all mean? This safety data sheet is from the ESP 0w30. Can anyone kind of explain all the different ingredients?
Everyone on this forum says that the ESP line of Mobil 1 is the “boutique” oil from Mobil 1. Just want to know what the ingredients mean.
I know this post seems like “here we go again, another ESP post
”, but I haven’t been able to find any information on what all the ingredients really are. Everyone says this oil has esters in it, but what are the other things in it? The ingredients list just looks very different from any of the other off the shelf oils I’ve seen.
Thanks in advance!
