I haven't used the product in years, but I decided to give it another try. I have three work vehicles (05-06 Ford Explorers) with 100,000 miles give or take a few. Have run mostly name brand synthetics with the last 20,000 miles or so on TropArtic blend.

They are running well and still look good so no reason to dump them yet. They have all been recently serviced, detailed and new brakes and tires...

Time for Frank's product to finish off the inside and get me another 100,000 miles..

From the name "frank" I am guessing you bought Auto-Rx.

Good luck.

If you cut the filters open, take some pics. We like the gory pics!!!

Tip. Use dino and run it hot and hard. If engine runs cold(ish) fix it first (pizza boxes flattened work wonders). Full bottle per four quarts, more if larger capacity. Good luck...s

I've been saying for years that ARX should have its own forum. If you look at this forums main page, eight out of twelve threads are about ARX... and now people don't even title their threads as to what product they use anymore. "Oil Additives" here on BITOG is now synonymous with ARX.

No, I'm not R. Lee Ermey!

My apologies if you thought I was singling you out. I was more or less pointing out that I thought this section could benefit from a separate ARX forum and I hadn't caught the fact that you had accidentally left out the product in your post. I wasn't coming down on you.

I agree...It is like the Kool-aid drinkers...People need too "read" for #1, or go to "his" forum #2 or stop buying the marketing.......

I think at one time it was a separate topic. Folks just seem to like to talk about Auto-Rx. It is a unique product, cleaning on the fly, green science, etc. The only value I see it being grouped in with additives, it gives rise to the arguments of old technology vs. new.

You're right, it certainly does give rise to some discussion and it is a very unique product. However, with as weak as our search function is it would be helpful to have our non-Auto-RX topics in another location. If you're wondering about opinions or usage of something other than Auto-RX you really have to do some wading through the back pages to find it. In the 'old days' it might not have been necessary due to the relatively few total topics on the Oil Additives board, so I can see why it would have been consolidated. But, with the hundreds of pages we've got here now separation could really be practical. I'm sure there will still be discussion within threads about auto-rx vs. [topic], however all threads that are about results with or application of or questions about ARX could be kept separate. Everybody's happy, our information is better categorized, and research is easier.
