A few years ago I decided to give Jescar Power lock + sealant (the predecessor to Ultra Lock +) a go, and was thoroughly impressed with it. Super easy to apply and wipe off, and durability to boot. So last year I purchased some Ultra Lock + and applied it to my 2017 Accord EX-L V-6/6MT after prepping the surface... truly incredible. Every bit as easy to apply/wipe off, and even more durability with the SiO2 addition. As someone else mentioned on YouTube, it is Power Lock + on steroids. Topped it off with P&S Defender spray sealant for even more durability.

Did the same to it yesterday and early this morning. I just HAD to finally say something about it :) ! The Ultra Lock + is the cat's pajamas IMO, and P&S Defender is certainly no slouch, either.

Indeed it is. I applied it to our Pilot and 3 years later the surface still feels great. Time to reapply before the winter.

It is the ONLY stuff that I've ever used, which caused people to ask me if I had just bought a new car, or otherwise thought it was new. Twice last year, once earlier this month (and the last time I hadn't washed it in at least two weeks!).

I've detailed my own vehicle for years and never heard of this product before. Where did you get it? Does anyone carry it in an actual store or online only?

I've only bought it on-line. There are several outfits that carry it, I bought my last bottle on Amazon. It's sold in bottles ranging in size from eight ounces to one gallon for those who drive long freight trains. Only a thin coat or two is needed.

CrashBox: nice detail!

I’m not familiar with P&S Defender.

I’m definitely familiar with Power Lock Plus and it’s a great product!!

It originated as “Menzerna Power Lock” sealant with Menzerna being a German based company.

Jescar has owned the marketing rights for that product(s) in the USA for the past few years.

They evolved from “Power Lock,” to my favorite, “Power Lock Plus.”

They also created “Power Lock Ultra,” and while I have used that specific product, I found it lacked the depth, clarity, and longevity of the “Plus” version.

After a thorough wash, clay, polish (Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish), and a thin coat of Power Lock Plus, I let it sit for an hour, then remove.

Three plus hours later I apply another coat, this time using Collinite 845 Insulator wax.

My rides are garaged with minimum automatic car wash exposure (winter only) and I easily get nine months or more from that single all day detail.

Menzerna and Collinite for me. All day!

Your mileage and finish may vary.

So six months after the initial coat do people just wash and put another coat on top of the first coat of Ultra Lock Plus?
That's what I've been doing, unless the vehicle feels like it needs clay. I like to do two coats a week apart, especially right before the winter.

Nice! I have that exact car but it's a 2014 and black. The black paint is a bit of a pain. Previous owner had it graphene coated but it's getting a bit tired. I have the 3 in 1 Griot's sealant I was going to try but maybe I'll try the Jescar.
