What preference you fellas have for jeans these days.. brand and leg style?

I haven't worn jeans in probably 5 years now I've been up and down with my weight and being short/stocky it is hard to find a pair of jeans in my inseam without having to do the tailoring thing. Amazon has their own brand of jeans I could get in my waist and inseam, 34Wx28L and in athletic cut figuring I'll have a bit more thigh room.

I wear whatever is cheaper, but i do like Levis the best, have 2 pair.

Fun Fact:

During the Vietnam War, some "special operations" soldiers wore Levi Jeans instead of the issued combat trousers as they were far more durable in the dense jungle.

I actually only own two pairs of jeans! 😃
I always like to have one dark blue pair and one light blue pair.
My dark blue is Urban Star brand that I bought from Costco for around $17.99 Canadian ($12.50 US) and the light blue ones are Levi’s Signature brand from Walmart that I think I paid $30 for ($21 US). The Urban Star ones have a stretchy waist band which is good because with me having lost almost 20 pounds now, those jeans still fit because of that waist band. The Levi’s are getting a bit too loose and I will need to get new ones in size 32.

The Levi’s are more of a tighter leg fit than the other ones, so I also like having the two different styles like that.

Why do I only have two pairs of jeans you ask? Because I do laundry twice a week and every time I do laundry I wash one of those jeans. So I really don’t need more than two pairs (plus I’m a cheapskate) 😆

For me Rural King $9.99 jeans work fine. $11.99 if you want the carpenter jeans. I haven’t ripped or worn out a single pair. I got the first pair around 2017 and have just added more over time. They improved the belt loops on them too so they don’t break now. I want to buy Carhartt jeans but they are just so expensive. I have about 12 pairs of the Rural King jeans and jeans shorts and they are amazing and I’m picky on jeans because certain ones irritate in certain spots but the Rural King ones have been amazing.

Dearborn Denim - I go with the Tailored Fit (oddly enough for me) and not the relaxed fit, made in US, $75 typical price but have stone wash for $59 &, of course, much better pricing around Black Friday when I buy mine. I've not bought a pair but their Long Ryder is $30 but it's raw, button fly (I don't care for) & no returns available so don't let this be your first pair from them.

Wrangler straight leg for me. Get them at Wally World for about 20 bucks a pair. Jeans and Dickie Tee's is all I wear. If I have to dress up any more than this I ain't going.

For what purpose.

For wearing out and around Levis 514.

I actually went looking online for the cheapest jeans Walmart had to wear while working in the yard. I figured they wouldn't last long either way. Be darned if there not the most comfy ones I own, and they have lasted quite a while. "Signature by Levis" - they were under $20.
