Is Delo's lack of moly a problem?

A good question! Delo 15W-40 also breaks rank with other HDEO's by not utilizing magnesium in the add pack.

Evidently the base oil plus 3200/3400 ppm of calcium are sufficient to not require additional FM's or AW adds.

FWIW, Exxon Superflo has a dose of moly and is $0.99/qt at the local Walmart. Moly may be a "crutch" that the Delo @ $1.82/qt & better base oils, does not require.

According to the UOA's I have seen, Delo does not need added Moly. Chevron must know what they are doing with there dino oils, since they all perform great in most UOA's.
