If you could only pick one motor oil to run in a wide variety of four stroke hardware you may come across (engines old and new, big and small, gas and diesel, etc. in as big of variety of conditions as you can imagine) and were not offered the option to run any other product, what would you pick?

This isn't a question of preferring one thing, rather a question of what you think would be the best compromise overall.

Well, 100 years from now this may not be to far fetched. One oil company, Exxon/Mobil, one place to buy it, Wal-Mart, one country of manufacture, China.

Sadly that could be true, but I think it might be a lot sooner.

Delvac 1. It's a bit thick for the gas engined cars and truck but will work, and an HDEO is needed for the diesel truck. The Cummins seems to like it, it's a bit quieter, revs easier when cold.

I was watching Ice Road Truckers the other weekend and they were showing a rig getting repaired in their shop. Low and behold there was a huge stack of Delvac jugs! I always wondered what they used up there.
