If you could only pick one motor oil.

Neo 5w30-only 30 weight I have ran in 2004 Honda Accord where I felt no lugging at all. Excellent wear for 13K mile run. Now if we could just get past the amount of lead in the oil. Most people think it is an additive, although when I called Neo they suggested lead in pipes which is not a good thing. Neo is like the Greek Hero with the tragic flaw...Wonderful Robust oil with lead.

This seems the best compromise, else I would import several cases of Esso 0W-30 if possible.

It depends. I actually DO only use one motor oil in my vehicles, and it's Castrol GTX 10W-30. Now, I'd rather be using Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (GC), but I'm just not an extended OCI kind of person, but I'm still thinking of switching to it and just going 5k-6k miles.

And, no, I'm not a Castrol fanboy, it's just what has done me good. Mobil1 5W-30 goes in the LS1, only because that's what got it to 160k miles, so might as well stick with it.

I guess I should clarify my first post since I only mentioned the oil company and not the grade but Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 Synthetic Plus 15w40 is my choice overall.

If cost was no problem I would use Amsoil. However, Pennzoil Platinum is a steal when it's on sale BOGO. So, I use the Platinum 5W-30.
