I'd be through the roof, OP. I understood your frustration.
If you intend to do that, do it today.Did you reach out to the mall's security people. They might have video. I have heard of them sharing it, hit in run in a public shopping place is bad for business.
That wouldn't work on mine because I use a receiver lock.If I hit my shin on an extended hitch carrying groceries to my car, it will be gently placed on your hood near the windshield wipers. That's me being courteous ... where I really wish to throw it through your back glass

Had the same thing on a 2nd Gen Ram here, and it was extra surprising because we get minimal (nearly zero) rust. But it had been left in for years and was rarely used. Even here if water can hide in small spaces for long periods of time, it'll rust.I left the drawbar in on a car once. For one winter. It wasn't coming out for love nor money the following year! Couple years later I finally pulled the whole works and spent at least 45 minutes hammering on it (3lb maul?) to drive the drawbar out. Never left it in after that.
My old house did have Jersey barriers to prevent one from going over the edge (4' drop to the backyard). I guess tapping that with a drawbar would be better than tapping with a bumper. Think I did tap it one time, but only once, didn't feel like testing my luck.
I’ve seen pickup trucks backed in to spots - and the net result is their hitch covers 1/2 the sidewalk.Well, the time to learn that being oblivious can sting a little, or a lot, is when they are young... Its a bad habit to walk that close to vehicles anyways. I have have a trunk mount bike rack and people have walked into it as well, but no harm done...
Yeah, if its a busy sidewalk, then that is a bit of a jerk move. Go park the 20' long rig at the back of the lot. My cars fit quite well in a normal parking spot, even with the bike rack on, so there's no reason to walk close enough to hit it.I’ve seen pickup trucks backed in to spots - and the net result is their hitch covers 1/2 the sidewalk.
It may be the pedestrian’s fault for walking into a stationary object, but taking up half the sidewalk for your parking convenience is a real jerk move.
This is a problem at our ball park . I've seen it cause issues for wheelchairs and scooters . You know these high dollar trucks have all sorts of cameras so there is no excuse to back up that far .I’ve seen pickup trucks backed in to spots - and the net result is their hitch covers 1/2 the sidewalk.

My Jeep has front and rear - I use front to park boats, trailers, and RV in tight spaces …In Delaware it's common to have a front mounted platform on Jeeps and pickups with a cooler on it and several rod holders.
