During cleaning, yes, but they don't suggest "maintenance" doses after cleaning like ARX does. So no, not just like Kreen.

The best way to do business is to have a good product that works and then to have good business practices. Don't do any backhanded stuff that is going to alienate the customers. Be open and if a customer has a problem with the product have a refund program where an unhappy customer gets their money back or else new product.

Here at bitgo people don't care for anybody they think is getting product in return for promotion. Also people here do not care for any backhanded, sneaky stuff.

I think most people here will agree that it is pretty strange that RetiredGuy1 just happened to post the same exact post word for word that had been posted at the Auto-RX website. And that the person who made that post apparently is the web designer for the Auto-RX website.

Stay away from the sneaky stuff, have good business practices, have a refund program for any unhappy customers. A good product and good business practices will go a long way.

You know what really surprising about this thread? Skyship is missing from an additive thread!
I smell a rat a real big fat one! Like a certain well known poster (not necessarily Skyship) just maybe the front man for this products return through bitogs back door.
Don't be surprised to see some sort of product endorsement and mickey mouse test by the poster in the near future.

Not accusing anyone these are of course my own thoughts.
It would be interesting to lookup Skyships IP though (Florida maybe)?

Edit: I'm probably wrong but i laughed at the thought so i posted it for the amusement of others.

Dont take stuff outta context dude. Kreen doesn't recommend you use it for the rest of your life.

Thats one way to do it and do it right.

But I would market it to the masses instead of a group of people that will do their own testing and find out if it works. I would go on tv with it like prolong and then get it on shelves. Then it doesn't matter if you have repeat customers or even if it works, just kick back and let the cash roll in. All you need is a good salesman and a camera!
Hint hint! Its time to leave BITOG alone and start making money man!

Ahhhhhhhh man. Why'd ya have to even say it.
Expect pages of useless info and multiple copy and paste pollution in this thread now.
I was thinking it though Trav,I just didn't want to jinx us.

Not half as i am about outing Moribundman/Mark Stork/Volvo ST1 etc.

Trav I've read some posts where it is clear you're a smart, above average mechanic.

And you're pretty good at simple investigations such as finding out RetiredGuy had copy and pasted something on the AutoRX website under the name Dan Weisner and then googling that name to figure out who that Dan Weisner was. Congrats Sherlock!

But you are so off base trying to out me as being someone who has had multiple ids in the past that its just so funny. Your imagination on this is doing nothing but exposing the limits of your analytical capabilities.

You need to decide whether you want to keep on coming across like that. It certainly gives me a chuckle to see another new name added every single time you make the accusation.

I can't believe this has popped up once again. If I want to clean the internals of my engine, I'll use Shell Helix Ultra or Pennzoil Ultra - nothing else. If I want to address a leak issue, I'll use ester-based Liqui Moly Motor Oil Saver.

Auto-RX has not just been a waste of my time in the engine, but I also decided I would take over distributor rights for the Middle East. Guess what, my distributor rights were revoked because I used a "solvent", AKA MMO, to clean my engine. Then I was stuck with cartons of this $h1t that I paid for and couldn't do jack with.

My treatment consisted of:

- 4 x 2,500 miles for the cleaning phase
- 4 x 3,000 miles for the rinse phase

It was a different oil each time. Before I took over the maintenance of this vehicle with a Mitsubishi 6G72, it ran on cheap, Middle East sourced Group I 20W-50 - notorious for varnish and sludge. This is what my cylinder heads looked like after 22,000 miles of ARX treatments - after freaking 22,000 miles of treatments:

I don't have any before pictures, because my aim wasn't to clean up the engine, I was looking to rejuvenate the valve stem seals. Removing the valve covers on this engine is a time consuming task, and I'm not going to go into the hassle of doing so just to post some before and after picture.

Because the host oil was blamed for the results, I also used a different brand each time - namely Motorcraft Synthetic Blend 10W-30, Mobil Drive Clean 10W-30, Fuchs Titan 15W-40 HDEO, Pennzoil Long Life Gold 15W-40. I was friggin all over the place.

In the end, the heads were manually cleaned up and this what they looked like:

Cams were purposely not cleaned. Here's a picture after 3,810 miles on Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30:

'nuff said.

You were the middle East distributer? Holy smoke that looks terrible and thats after 22K of ARX treatment.
I wonder i they will change the old formula stuff you got stuck with (i'm sure a large amount for the new and improved stuff.

Sorry i know its not no joke it sounds like you got left holding the bag for some serious money.
IIRC didn't they use a pic of your transmission as proof it was a marvel in automatics?

It looks like Pennzoil Platinum can do a pretty good job of cleaning all by itself. And I would have to assume that if you could find any Pennzoil Ultimate (it seems to be hard to find) the cleaning would be even better.

For even better cleaning maybe a nonsolvent idle only engine flush like Amsoil or Lubegard, or else use Kreen, MMO or Neutra with the Pennzoil Platinum. But if the Pennzoil Platinum can clean good enough, just use it.

The force is strong in this one. Ya know Marvel Mystery and the other additives are no better than AutoRX or Slick50 teflon. (Besides oils already have additives in them... why unbalance their carefully test and controlled chemistry?)
