I was at Autozone tonight looking at a PF47 and sure enough, it does have an anti-drainback valve. I don't know where I got the idea that it doesn't.

I don't. Never seen an engine where the oil gallery went up inside the engine, then back down to a level lower than the oil level in the pan.

You can prove this to yourself with a piece of hose and your kitchen sink.

P.S. Don't forget the bucket for the kitchen floor or the wifey might develop a headache that evening.
