I don’t need no stink’n truck!

I couldn't live or pay my bills without one, but I'm glad not everyone wants a truck or prices would be even higher than they are.

Trucks suck. Everyone should stop buying them -- even used ones. It'll be tough, but I'll buy some when the market plummets

I need my truck for work but every soccer mom that drives a Denali to drop the kids off and go the office is the reason I can't afford a new one (that won't last half a long as my 2005) and I'll have to take a new lease vehicle (because the company also can't afford the repairs on the 2017-2018s that are finally reaching 100k miles).

nope. hauling stuff in a car tends to damage the car. my wife hauled wood in the fj and it rubbed on the dash. She also hauled hay. Im still finding hay in places on that car.

Have you called insurance to have it totaled out yet? :) Just kiddin' with ya.

When my kids were teenagers I gave them suburbans and pickups to drive.
I had the conversation with my daughter the other day and for safety sake, she wants the grandchildren to drive 4x4 3500 crew cabs instead of SUVs or minivans that are not as safe in an accident and end up smelling like wet dogs.

I needed them for work for many years. Don’t have that job anymore. Don’t miss that either.

We all know that most people buy four door half tons with useless sized beds because they want them, not because they actually need a truck. They then look for reasons to convince themselves that they really do need a truck.
When I can rent a standard cab half ton with a real bed for $19.95 for the day, maybe $40.00 all in with miles and fuel, as I recently had to do to haul materials for a back porch restore, I have no need to buy one.
I can make up that forty dollars in less than a single fill up of the HAH versus feeding a truck all of the time.
Still, what makes sense to me clearly doesn't for a majority of new vehicle buyers.

All the soccer moms need Denali’s to haul two kiddos and groceries. And all the golf dads need Platinum F150’s to haul golf clubs and a beer belly.

I have 2 trucks. One is a Dodge crew cab and other is a Ford Ranger XLT from 1990. The ranger has a little longer bed than The Dodge. Getting in the ranger is so much easier.

Stopped by HD to pick up some home repair items including 10 cedar fence pickets… even grabbed dinner on the way. The Malibu has really great trunk space for its size. I haven’t had a truck in years and I don’t miss it to be honest. Just don’t ask me to haul anything much bigger or I’ll have to borrow the wife’s minivan. 👀

Anyone else say goodbye to owning a truck and doesn’t miss it?

Dead give away for your ages. Who can name the young actor on the left!? First name = Robert_______________? He grew up to later star in many "stinkers!" well bomb movies. LoL Including one with him in uniform on a certain type of motorcycle.......

We DON"T NEED no stinking trucks............or no stinking badges either!

My dad always stuffed his Xmas tree into the luggage compartment of his Fairmont wagon. Then when he got the next years' one the green pine needles would mix with the existing brown ones back there!

We took the back seat out of our Chevy Celebrity years ago and hauled a pig to the butcher. Arrived at the market... "Where's the pig?" Opened the back door and got several loud laughs.

I've got a redneck truck-bed-trailer and a flat trailer with a 12' deck on it. Pull it with my old Jeep.

Though they're currently parked at my dad's property 120 miles away. If I need to move something and my trailer isn't in town, I'll rent a one from Uhaul for $25.

That's what I would be renting if my truck broke down. Unfortunately it's a lot more $ than that here in Canada.
