If you have to ask, don’t ask…
Stopped by HD to pick up some home repair items including 10 cedar fence pickets… even grabbed dinner on the way. The Malibu has really great trunk space for its size. I haven’t had a truck in years and I don’t miss it to be honest. Just don’t ask me to haul anything much bigger or I’ll have to borrow the wife’s minivan. 👀

Anyone else say goodbye to owning a truck and doesn’t miss it?

Yes, always had an LT up until 2020. But our Tahoe has a huge WeatherTech mat - and have 5’x10’ utility trailer so light that I can grab it and bring it to the hitch 😷

I've owned exactly one truck, a 1999 Toyota Tacoma Pre-runner I bought new that I still miss. Sold it because my wife and I were having our first child and it was only a 2-seater. I also have a long commute so driving cars the last 25 years has saved me some $$ on fuel.

Getting 37MPG while hauling that huge load you see there. Operating heavy machinery today, boys!

I have done this a few times while my truck was in the shop...but it proved that Yes, I do need a stinking truck. And working out of the spare Tacoma proves that yes it should be at least a half ton.

I should add that I moved (while my crazy ex girlfriend was at an appointment) with nothing but myself and this car, in the rain. Cracked the one taillamp with my dresser while loading it into the trunk. And the ceiling (headliner already was deleted) is all beat up from loading my mountain bike into the back seat. So I have definitely used the car as a truck but it's not doable for my daily job. I took my half ton across the scales at the local metal recycler to pick up rebar and the truck was 6600lbs (200 over it's rated limit).

Not so much. Had a 96 Tacoma regular cab for years. Needed something to tow the Waverunner and haul other stuff. Wife hated riding in it as there really wasn't much room, other than for me and the dogs. Sold it long ago and really haven't missed it. The Tig and Dadwagon carry just about anything I need to, and in much better comfort than the Taco. The wagon swallows a surprisingly large amount, more than the Tig. Only time in the last 5 years I needed a truck was to pick-up bulk mulch. Borrowed next door neighbor's and bought him some beer and wings for the trouble. Won't even go into what ridiculous prices they are asking for trucks these days, including used ones.

Living on an acre of property --- house included and having multiple trees/shrubs and brush. My truck is needed and comes in handy besides. Glad the Malibu is working for you in multiple factors.
