Hyundai styling

Another thread that gives an opportunity for Hyundai bashing.

That Genesis is a nice looking car...BTW.

There has not been a decent looking Hyundai since 1988.
Fixed it.

There has not been a Looks are not and never been their forte.
That's a Kia.

Hyundai sure can make a handsome car. Wish I still had mine.
Like a Benz, but not as good!

There you go bashing the bashers again. No one have an opinion, CKN is around!

Every manufacturer is an equal opportunity bash fest 'round here.
Especially when it's GM or Hyundai/Kia. I keep hearing/people keep saying that their cars are getting better and they're not as bad as they used to be...

Either they were way way worse or everyone is improving and still outpacing them. Maybe both?

I'm not a huge fan of Hyundai's new styling on the Elantra & Sonata but I'm sure it'll grow on me. Their SUVs are okey but, I can see them heading in this direction.
And I hate KIA's new LOGO. I didn't like the other KIA logo either and didn't think it could get worst but it did.

Does the old skool Pontiac Aztek count, lmao? That WAS the ultimate utilitarian ride.
I saw one the other day and was just thinking about how Pontiac was two decades early with the Aztek.

"Overlanding" is all the rage right now and Pontiac would be printing money with an Aztek in the 2020s.

For my tastes...

The Elantrs had to grow on me. I didn't like it's looks at first in lower trim. Especially in-person it looks sharper than in print. But it definitely isn't for everyone.

That's got to be the goofiest looking car I've ever seen.

But then there's Hyundai's Genesis Coupe. One of the most beautiful cars on the road. They should've kept going with that styling.

Hard, angular styling = Cheap looking design in my opinion.
I've been told designs with more Radii cost more to produce and generally look better in IMO.
That goes for any brand, not just Hyundai. See: new Corvette

Forte? No, that's Kia's. 😀
I actually like the older Fortes..... Say, 2016 or so. Good looking car! The current ones, not so much. Kia managed to usually have the better-looking designs of the Hyundai/Kia family, but lately it appears both of them have been spanked by the same ugly stick.

Literally all of the competition looks better, even the Nissan.
It's not my cup of tea; like I said, I could live with it but I'm not buying a compact anytime soon nor is it a segment I'm remotely interested in. At the end of the day, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The Fortes up to 2013, IMO, were pretty nice looking - especially the koup. Then they rounded things up in 2014 and killed it off altogether in 2016.

Hideous, too angular, no personality, too much like so many other cars on the market. Why can't cars look unique and original? They all seem to clone each other, every "generation." It makes them all look the same, in the same decade.
