Nothing drops in value faster than an Equal or whatever they are called, the name doesn't matter anyway.

While they are far from what I would call lame they really do depreciate very fast! Buy one used, maybe.

The Genesis with the 424 hp engine is a real poor performer, that's for sure. There are many folks questioning that hp rating, as the car simply doesn't have the 'go' it should.

Even Toyota or Honda is not this stupid.

Im not so sure about that! Lexus L600h costs right around $90,000-$100,000 optioned out and new. And where are the 460h/600h cars?

As to the Equus, it sure looked cool in the ads. I forget if it was the mid-sized or the full, and Kia had a competitor just like it but if they got problems then ill think twice.

These cars look like Mercedes S-Class, if anyone else spotted the styling resemblance.

Show me a 2011 Equus in average condition for $20,000 and I'll buy it.

Funny story; on the Acura lot I spot a nice looking Mercedes from far away listed at 23K. I thought it was S-class but my son says, where is the three pointed star on it? I thought it might have been folded down. Only after reading the window sticker, I realized it was a Hyundai Genesis!

I just saw a 2010 in the paper with low mileage for $23k.

2011 was the first model year for this car in the US.

Baloney.

Yup. Maybe a 2010 Genesis at that price.

Soooooooooooooo....what are we saying? They don't hold their value?

Okay.

Neither did our XG300.

It's every bit as much car as a Lexus ES300....at only 2/3rds the price or less.

I don't know what model it was, it was the big one with the grill.

LOL! Just about every other car out there has a big grill nowadays. It appears the industry is marching toward a solution where your car and your Char-Broil will be one and the same appliance.

BTW, the pic you posted is of Hyundai Genesis.

That's a Genesis. As pointed out above, there was no 2010 Equus.
