The set my brother linked to says 1.35V/1.5V Too, So I don't know.
The few times I've replaced memory it always booted right up.
No l didn't order them yet.Did you receive/install the Timetec ones already? Those are the correct ones. The ADATA one you got on Sunday are 1.5v only.
OK, I'll try the one stick at a time thing you said.Yes, the Timetec kit you bought should be the correct memory.
I will. Next time I open it. I am a little relucent opening this thing, it seems to be a "bear" to get the top to snap together.Try this, making sure the power is off, unplugged and the system drained of all residual power by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds before taking RAM out and reinstalling it.
You can also try:
- Remove the original working SODIMM.
- Power it on without any RAM in it. It won't POST but it'll beep and complain but it won't hurt anything.
- Power it off then install just one new SODIMM
- Power it on and see if it works
Out of curiosity, with the old RAM module out, can you take a picture of the label and post it? I'm curious as to what exactly is in it now.
- Installing one new 8GB SODIMM in the 2nd slot along with the original 4GB SODIMM and see if it POSTs
- Installing just a new SODIMM in the 2nd slot alone and see if it POSTs
OK, Thanks, I may just do that.Put in the SSD as mentioned above.
Worth it just so you don’t have to wait for all of the drivers to load. lol
