I'm going on a 5 hour drive next week, so i figured this would be the perfect time for a fuel system cleaner.

Picked up my favorite Berrymans bottle, but now i'm curious as to "how often is TOO often"? I did the last application 7 months ago.

I plan on using the whole 16oz bottle with 16 gallons of gas and a serving of MMO for added lubrication. The B12 seems very nasty to me, so i'd rather not ruin my fuel pump or seals.

ferb!

I put a bottle of Chervon in my tank at the last tank of gas before an oil change. So about every 4-5K miles (2 months for my Accord, 3 months for my CR-V).

Ferb, I add 35ml. of Chevron Techron to every tankfull in my Mercedes 190e 2.3. Over the years the car would develop a stumble at idle and would clear up after putting in Techron. The last time it happened it was real bad and missed thruout the entire RPM range. I could hardly make it up the driveway. I mega-dosed the Techron and it cleared up after sitting for 3 hours. I somehow came up with 35ml. per tankfull by mimicing whats in Chevron premium. That was three years ago and never a stumble since. I've owned the car seven years now and the stumble started soon after I got the car. The Techron really works in this car. I fill the empty bottles with the correct amount and my wife keeps a 6-pack in the trunk and adds it every fill up. My 92 Escort runs perfectly too but never gets any fuel treatment.

Just have my mechanic changed the fuel filter for my E420 @ 66K. On close exam of the old fuel filter, I did not see any dirt residual when trying to shake fuel out of the filter. However, I have been adding a bottle of Chevron fuel cleaner every 3k when I changed the engine oil the same time. Seems like I'm getting good results.
However, I was wondering if I should use Fuel Power as well? Any experts would like to chime in..

I run a bottle of FI cleaner prior to every oil change. This is usually about 4 times a year.
I also rotate among the various brands.

I would try to find the cause of the stumble instead of using a band-aid to mask it's effects.

On a diesel every second tank, every tank if you take the time to measure the stuff correctly. If you use it every tank and don't measure you'll get an over dose eventually.

I asked the frequency question a while back as well. What I've come up with is about 5k mi. (roughtly in between a 9-10k mi. OCI) is where I notice some engine roughness. But my engine has 204k mi. and no fuel system addatives were put in for the first 150k mi....so, it may be cleaning things out....

Don't think it's wise/pertinent/necessary to need something at every fillup. I've tried this...too much work and too much $. But, I do use Premium fuel only.

Well I can tell that B-12 has not hurt any of the Toyota's or DSM's we have owned. It also did not hurt my Ford Tempo. My family add's a bottle at every oil change for years. Now it is only about 1-2 a year. One vechiles has had this type of treatment since 1995 and is still with us. We have been useing B-12 since 1992.

I have a few cars that I have been putting the Amsoil PI in at every tankful. So far no injector issues (one is 12 years now)Does it make a difference I don't know. Does it do any harm, apparently not, does it affect UOA apparently not

Actually using a lot of Neutra now as I found a salesrep that had to dump some of his stash as he is no longer a rep
