How often do you change your oil?

My oil change program, there is none. My old car has an automatic oil change system. It burns a quart every 500 miles, so I keep it topped off only. The car is treated to a filter change once a year for Christmas.

Sounds good! Kind of anyway, those rings might be sticking. I'd prefer a quart every 2.000 miles for "infinite" OCI's! With filter change of course.
Or if we ran diesels, we could all change at 500,000 miles using the CENTINEL from Cummins.
"CENTINEL Advanced Engine Oil Management System extends oil change intervals to 525,000 miles (844,906 km) and oil filter changes to 75,000 miles (120,701 km) for heavy-duty onhighway applications!" .... They do this by purposely injecting the fuel with engine oil while you drive, and replenishing while you drive too I think.

2006 Sierra 3x per year, ~12K per year, OLM typically between 10% and 40%. Mostly conventional.

2004 Liberty 3x per year, ~12k mi per year, Mostly synthetic.

2001 Cobra 1x per year, ~5k mi per year, Synthetic.

'65 Mustang 1x per 2 years, ~500 mi per year, Rotella.

Grasshopper 1x per year, ~50 hours per year, GC

Other mowers, 1x every year or two, low hours per year. Conventional

Spring and fall. Five quarts of Mobil I 0w-30 and Denso 150-1002 oil filter. And one Oil Tite M12 oil drain plug gasket. Install oil filter and tighten until torque-stop stops rotation. Tighten drain plug to 33 ft.lbs.Add five quart of oil and I done for another six months. One of these fall or springs I'll be done and such minutiae will no longer concern me.

We have the all-time restrained poster award winner here!
Me?
I use mostly syn or blend oils and used to change them at ridiculously short intervals.
I now go longer, as I've learned here is perfectly reasonable.
The '12 Accord gets changed sometime after 15% MM, which varies between 7K and 9K. It gets any 0W-20 syn. Now on PP.
The Forester gets a year or up to 8K using any 5W or 0W-30 syn. Now on old Ultra 5W-30. Longest run was nearly 8K on GC.
The Legacy gets 6-7 months, since it is mostly short tripped. Now on Meijer HM 10W-30.
The Focus gets 5-6K. It has been short-tripped but is now going on longer commutes. Now on Meijer 5W-20 syn.
The '02 Accord has been run for as much as 8K on an OCI using the same G-Oil 5W-30 it has in it now. I aim for around 6K for this car. Honda recommeded 7.5K or one year in normal use with any API SL 5W-20.
The BMW gets 3-4K drains because the one UOA I did with it at 4K showed 2.9% fuel dilution and it isn't doing all that many miles these days. It's currently on Defy 10W-40 but will get M1 HM 10W-30 for its next run. This is an A3 oil, so it should be fine for the engine.
The E350 is on the oil it got in July 2014, Servicepro 10W-30. It's done less than 2K since then. We use it as a moving van/hauler. My older son will be moving about a hundred miles north in September, so after that multi-trip excursion, I'll change oil and filter. It'll get a Wix (I've had it sitting around for the past five years) and QTP 10-30.

I'm going to try and follow your lead TFB1

The default over here seems to be oil and filter every 10k km (6.2k mi) or 12 months.
In the old days it was half that, with the filter every second change.

My owners handbook says 15k km (9.3k mi) or 12 mts. Yet I only do about half that distance per year.

My driving is fairly gentle, so I'm going to run a full synthetic and push it to about 18 months and approx. 12k km (7.5k mi). I may crack under the strain sooner.

My big problem is that full synthetics are fairly expensive here, but they have regular sales. This weekend valvoline SynPower is 35% off, less than their semi-synthetics. So I have to get some, impossible to resist. So by the time a year and a half OCI is up, I will have another three years worth of oil in my cupboard, if not more.

Like some guy here once said, I need more oil like a fat kid needs more cupcakes.

It is strange how I put in 5 quarts, but only drain out 1 or 2. This is how its been with my 2001 Buick since I bought it in 2010.

Maybe you're onto something. Let the engine tell you when to change the oil.

You won't have much to recycle either.

So you drive around with a oil sump that is between 25% to 50 % full pending its capacity.

Hmmmmmmmmmm !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how to take this post wait for the OP to clarify how genuine it is.

I watch over 5 cars and trucks and do the following.
For the Silverado and Avalon I'm doing full synthetic and 6,000 mile oci.
I was doing the same for the other cars but am currently in the process of switching them to 3,000 mile oci's and going to conventional 10W-30 with one quart of synthetic, basically make my own synthetic blend. These last 3 cars are high milage (130K, 185K, 245K) they use a little oil and I'm hoping conventional oil slows the oil usage some but mainly top off should cost less. I'll try it, if its too much oil changing I'll go back to full syn on everything.

02 Nissan Xterra. Usually every 4k or 6 months whichever comes first. Conventional Mobil Clean 5000. SUV sees short stop and go.

03 Crown Victoria P71, 5k with conventional and 10k with synthetic. This car mostly sees highway miles at around 15k/yr.

How does SuperTech 10W-30 get burned up in a late model 2011 Kia ?

i wish i had an answer. prob something wrong with the car, i dont know

For my 2010 Fusion 2.5 - 7,500 miles on a synth blend, or a premium conventional, as per Ford spec.

For my 2014 Nissan Altima - 5,000 miles on whatever the dealer is putting in. We have a service agreement with them until the warranty expires.

I agree, I have wasted more money replacing worn tyres on FWD cars than I care to count.

Target ~15% on OLM for my '14 Silverado, which works out to be 7000-7500mi typically. Pennz Plat.

1 time a year. I rarely drive over 5-6 k in each either of my personal vehicles.
My company truck is my dailycommuter. 2007 f150. That ford modular v8 gets fleet treatment. I get the oil changed once ever 4 months or so and it gets severe duty.
Long idles, oilfield mountainous roads, mud, dust, high vibration. Daily temps have regularly been below zero this year. So cold starts. We use a bulk 5w30 probably from the best bid since we have a lot of gas 3/4 and 1 tons and some v-10s. The trucks run to 125-150k when they are sent to auction.
