How often do you change your oil?

1) 2015 Altima- company car, oil changed at 5k intervals per the OEM recommendation. Bulk conventional 5w30 at the dealer.

2) 2009 Prius- every 5k with a Toyota filter.

3) 2004 F150- driven on weekends, only about 3k miles per year. Oil change at the 12 month mark. MC synblend in there now, got a deal on M1 5w20 so that's going in next. MC filter.

5K on my cars, but do 3K on my 83 Silverado with the 305 and 230K.

Last 2 work cars were subarus with the new fb25 motor. Ran 15k oci with Mobil 1 EP 0w20 and ocod filters. Cars both saw 50,000 miles a year so a lot of highway miles. Runs were uoa verified.

Had a GTO with a 389 that got a once per year interval (maybe 500 miles) and a built Mustang that got Mobil 1 every 6 months due to E85 and Blower which were very hard on the oil.

All of my other vehicles since I tuned 16 in the late 90s have had a 5k oci with mfgr spec oil.

Never have had an engine die and ran one out over half a million miles. (GM 4.3)

2012 F-250, Fiesta, Taurus
Use OLM with a full synthetic, usually 7.5K-10K
Always use a Motorcraft or FRAM Ultra or Tough Guard

Fusion
Every 5,000 with synthetic blend or 7,500 when I run full syn
Always use Motorcraft or FRAM Ultra or Tough Guard, although I'm currently running an August 2015 built Puro Classic as an experiment

2015 F-250
Only did 1 oil change so far, but planning on every 5,000 with full syn & a Motorcraft since this truck tows all the time.

my 2015 malibu 2.5L I4- go by the OLM with full synthetic

moms 2010 fusion 2.5L I4- OLM/7.5k on full synthetic

dads 2008 escape 2.3L I4- OLM/7.5k on full synthetic

State of Calif has tens or thousands of cars and light duty trucks in their fleet. They require all to be changed at 6,000 miles with the filter changed every 2X. They did extensive testing for years and ran complex spread sheets on cost savings vs down time, etc. 6K was their answer mostly using multi-grade oils per the OM recommended charts.

BUT, there are few places in Calif that have Canadian weather. Truckee, Susanville, Mammoth, and the like, are those locations. I have talked to fleet auto inspectors for those areas and they change more often ...

Oil and filter at one year regardless of milage. The highest I've ever gone is 11k, which shouldn't be a huge deal with LL01 in my X3.

The other two rarely hit 5k annually.

2012 Buick Verano 2.4L - Every 10k km. (6250 mi.) with Mobil 1 0w-40

90% (or more) highway miles. By the end of this weekend it will be very close to 320k km. (200k mi.).

Yes, I drive a lot.

Wow that's a pretty good OCI for Subaru...

On the Ford it's been OLM thus far, planning 10-12k with synthetic (UOA verified) out of warranty.

Jeep is short tripped right now, so it's a 5000 mile interval.
