@ rrounds: You are right in every point, also in your warning that the oil shears down quickly in an S2000.
I will do shorter Oil change intervalls, of course. And yes, i run the engine at high RPMs for some minutes, often. Ravenol claims that they use shear free VI improver polymers, i will see.
But this UOA of one of the new Ravenol USVO oils after 10,000 km, 1,000 of them on the racetrack with high oil temps, is promissing:
