Honda Pump Fluid 2 on national backorder

Parts guy at the Honda dealer told me they are not selling any of differential the oil commonly used in Pilots, CRV's etc, and that service departments and techs are hoarding it for customer work. Shipments of 1 box are coming in every week or 2.

Anyone know what's up? I assume there's hundreds of cases sitting in a shipping container waiting to get unloaded.

I only inquired about the pump oil. Had no problem getting 0w20 Premium Ultra Synthetic though. Shelves looked pretty stocked otherwise.

There has been. We couldn't get the Castrol 0W20 bulk oil for a few weeks. They filled our 10W30 diesel tank with another CK-4 approved oil because the Motorcraft is on backorder, of course I didn't know until I got the invoice

Drain plug washers were on backorder from Honda a few weeks back. DW1 transmission fluid is as well. Delco dexos oil is on allocation at the moment as well to GM dealers.

You don't have to buy drain plug washers from Honda, just any aluminum (copper works too) washers for cheap.
