I am just curious if the Honda Dual Pump Fluid II (08200-9007 or 9007A) used in rear AWD gearbox could be replaced with something similar (or better) made by another company ? Valvoline ? Castrol ? Amsoil? RedLine ?
Thanks!

I'm not aware of any substitute. I bought a new Pilot a few months ago and researched the heck out of it and all the maintenance points. After reading forums, oil company websites, etc. no indication of anyone having or recommending a substitute. If you are going to drain and fill yourself, just buy a bunch from one of the discount Honda parts online vendors.

I've been using Eneos Import DPS for the last 80K or so on a 2004 Honda CR-V at 15-20K intervals. Usually purchased at local NAPA with some sort of coupon code.

The only bad thing is after the bottle redesign, the manual pump I had been using is no longer compatible. I kept an old Honda DPF II bottle from a diff service on my brother's still under warranty 2023 CR-V. Transfer the Eneos into that bottle then use that bottle to pump into the diff fill hole.
