The "American Dream" is not an entitlement. Minimum wage jobs are a stepping stone to better, higher paying jobs. Pumping up the minimum wage isn't really the best way to motivate those starting out in those jobs to strive for something better.

Actually I know a fair bit about it. My wife owns a 15 Fit. She loves it. I don't. I find it the most uncomfortable car to ride in that I ever experienced. But I'm kind of an unusual case. I have a 36 inch inseam and a very bad right knee. There isn't NEARLY enough legroom in the front for me to be comfortable for even a short drive. I can't imagine a trip in one. As I said, my situation is unique, but tall drivers will find it short on front legroom. There's more legroom for back seat passengers than front! She's put about 16k on it, and has had no problems other than the recall for the front bumper to be replaced due to poor crash performance. It's a slick car with a lot of neat features, at least in the EX trim. But she paid 22k for it. I paid 16k for my 15 Civic, which I feel is a much more substantial car, although with less features (LX). And made in US rather than Mexico. for what that is worth.

Yep Tundra. Lots of 60mph on the highway, although on the backroads I will downshift at the bottom of a hill to avoid lossy unlocked TC operation. No cruise usage either, I let my speed drop a bit as I climb hills, and regain on the downside.

Yeah, using cruise control in hilly terrain can be detrimental to fuel economy.
