Home depot doesn't take my credit card online

Ok well I tried buying something spelling my address exactly as on my credit card statement and that didn't work.

I only have one zip code for my city. I have 9000 people in my city.

I guess i'll call the bank and the credit card company tomorrow and [censored] like [censored].
What exactly happens when you try to buy something online from home depot? My suggestion would be to have a visa representative on the phone with you at the same time that you try to buy something online from homedepot.com. The representative should be able to see the attempted transaction, and tell you what is going on and why the transaction is being declined. If visa doesn't even see the transaction attempt occur, then it's likely a home depot problem. I would also try clearing your browser history/cache/cookies too.
As you pointed out, check the address stuff very carefully. That can cause problems. Alternatively, Home Depot's service provider might be to blame here, especially with their recent security concerns. To find out if it's the service provider, someone high up enough at Home Depot will have to be diligent enough and ambitious enough to actually check.

This makes more sense to me then anything else, if the address your entering is EXACTLY the same as your billing statement then its Home Depot's fault, I think.

The USPS has a standard for addresses.
My college did not fit this standard. I had an on campus PO Box and the address was distorted.
Hilarity ensued when, at the end of summer, I changed my CC statement address to the one my school told me to use. I never got statements, and traced it back to their data entry system cramming my new address to fit the mold.
Ironically, I got that card from an on campus recruiter.
So if CT != Court in the eyes of the USPS or any other database admin, this could be your issue.
But I think it's a fraud thing. Did you try live chat with the shopping cart full?

My guess is that it's the same problem you had when you first brought up the issue last October. Apparently you elected not to solve it then, so I doubt that you'll solve it now.

btw the same thing happens when I try to pay using paypal.
Wife was having an issue trying to buy a plane ticket earlier this year. Turns out when we got our cards, I activated mine and she thought since I did that, that hers was good to go since they both came together. Nope... she had to call to get hers activated via separate call. 5 minutes later everything worked getting her plane ticket. She had been carrying an unactivated card for a few months, not knowing it wasn't good to go.

Well I called home depot and the visa company and visa said it wasn't on their end. I called home depot and they were next to no help. They had no idea and couldn't even tell me why my card was declined. The girl said she would file an internal report and they would get back to me within 72hrs. business day hours that is. She didn't sound too promising. We will see.
