I would certainly not expect there is anything absolute you can hang your hat on. If you had a reference sample as soon as the cleaner we would look for some things based on what we would expect out of the deposits. The deposits can put a dent in TBN, deposits can contain wear metals the would result as a quick increase of wear but rather would be material released back in suspension. And of course general increase in sludgy nature of the oil such as Mr Mola has seen. The converse TIGeo, he is seeing clean oil and not a lot of difference. Esters clean. The fact that his remains clean is certainly an indication that his hot rod is pretty clean already.

The first engine oil filter that was on 100% after adding the product has been cut open.

TL;DR is, 53' Stude states the oil looked kind of rough, but filter good.

This brings up the question again that things may have been somewhat clean already, but the EC may have been responsible for the oil looking kind of rough.

I would absolutely buy more of this product.

So, the POS in the background is due for an OCI in ~400 miles. It’ll see a mix of
1 qt mixed VSML + ST FSHM 5W-30
1 qt of ST FS 5W-30
1 qt of HPLEC
.4qt of Castrol Edge Bio-Synthetic 5W-30
Remainder to be however much cheap 5W-30 Formula Shell 5W-30 I left over from a post-piston soak oil change to make up 3.7-3.8qts. Haven’t decided on a filter. More than likely a Fram OCOJ or ST. I do have an OEM Toyota filter but not this time.

I have a TG4386 in stock, but I’ve used an XG4967 in a past experiment.

Another thought is the “cheap” SuperTech MP filter or a Chinese/Vietnamese Ecogard/Premium Guard “synthetic” filter as well.

I put 1/2 qt in 350z for the last 2k on current oci.
Also put 1/2 qt in jetta gli for last 1.5k on 6k oci.... next 1/2 on last 1.5k on next oci.
Next up is my k24 accord oil burner but its only 1k into oci.

I ordered 2 qts for the 3 cars.

My thoughts are its dark colored and pours like a 10w40 lol.

It is a 5w30 that will stay clean in his engine. This will eliminate the future need to run an engine cleaner. You are already on the right side of things as your 0W8 has AN and Ester so it will remain clean as well.
