Look,

I just went to Wal-Mart, bought some Castrol Gtx, some hamburger helper and ordered a gallon of LC20.

I doubt I'll be hungry after dinner or that my engine will blowed up any time soon.

Sounds good. Set your engine at 350* for 10 minutes and the Hamburger Helper will clean the sludge right out of there. And after a cool glass of Castrol, there's nothing like a shot of LC20 to settle your stomach.

Rats ... experienced the 5w-20 jinx again today.

First when I really wanted to try PP I couldn't find it in 5w-20 ... today I go to Wally World to get GTX "anti sludge" and they have the new formula in everything but 5w-20.

For some reason they don't put the anti sludge label on the 5w20, but it's still the new formula, however.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Hamburger Helper

But speaking of the new GTX formulation especially the 5w20 I am starting to feel even better about my current spare car Auto-RX rinse dino home brew:
50% Castrol GTX 5w20
50% Esso XD-3 15w40 HDEO

The car specs 5w30 (or 10w30 in hot weather) so I think I am likely in the ballpark of a 10w30 with what I am hoping is a nice cleaning effect from the new and improved GTX formula and the HDEO XD-3.

It looks like they use the "anti-sludge" space to say "ford, honda, and chryslers love this stuff" paraphrased, of course.

That's what a Castrol tech told me in an e-mail. Take it for what it's worth.
