Just bought some of the new API SP GTX for the Capri, let's see how it goes, the oil in it right now is a mix of Repsol synthetic blend 20w50 and Mobil 1 5w50 but it's been over a year and i want to change it.
This is also a synthetic blend.

Sooo, ummm, what do you do with this on a car that specs 5Qts for the oil change? Do you just pour the whole thing in or do you babysit a container with 1/4 Qt still in the bottom of it?

It specs exactly 5 Liters so i pour in almost the whole jug in but leave in a little bit as it's to be assumed there will always be something left in the oil pan
I love when cars spec either 5 or 4 liters, just pour the whole thing in and have no left over to store in some corner.

Why? Just pour the whole thing in and be done with it. The residual amount will not be enough to hurt anything.

Yeah, i could do that, it just doesn't burn or leak barely any oil since i did the valve stem seals so i barely ever have to top it up , i just recently took it on a road trip and did about 1200 miles , at times getting it up to 100-110mph and it didn't use a drop, and that oil already had around 4000 miles on it :)

The car makers take that residual into consideration when they specify the oil capacity though. So when it lists 5L, they know that the actual total capacity of the engine is higher than that when you include the residual oil left behind after draining. So you can safely put the whole 5L in there, you don’t need to deduct anything to account for residual.

Probably, but like all Bitogers we all have a little bit of Ocd 😃
