Here's a link to a PDF dated 5/3/12 showing the specs for this oil:

http://www.valvoline.com/pdf/maxlife.pdf

I can recall reading something about this oil here, but I've never seen any.
I wonder if Valvoline shelved it before it was actually introduced, and this document simply includes the specs for a grade that never really existed as something one could buy?

When I started at Advance (approx. three years ago), there were like two or three quart bottles of it on the clearance rack at my store. Someone eventually tried to buy them but the bar code scanned as invalid. They must have been discontinued pretty hard to be completely cleared out like that. We just gave them to the guy.

It's in the quick lubes. They have it in stock to hit the cheap 0W20 market for those customers who don't want to destroy their bank account with an $80 oil change.

So VIOC locations stock Maxlife 0W-20?
Do they really charge eighty bucks for a change using Synpower 0W-20 and a cheap filter?
You could do the same with a jug of Synpower 0W-20 from Walmart and a better filter for under thirty dollars.

I work at a Honda Dealership and we stock it in bulk. It's used for 0W20 Honda vehicles who want a synthetic blend which meets the Honda specification.
